Carbine (galvanised steel) Vs Stainless Steel
Though vast in the sense of metals and materials, please be aware the difference between carbine and stainless is a personal one.
They are both equal is strength and durability etc, the main difference is asthetics and touch. That is, carbine are NOT as pretty to look at as Stainless, and due to the nature of galvanising, carbines are rougher in both appearance and touch. That said, they are also less expensive and are ideal for industrial type settings, whereas the stainless are highly polished and smooth, yet more expensive to manufacture.
You may notice from the product pictures that the "carbine" carabiners are shiney and lighter in colour, whereas the "stainless steel" are more of a darker grey polished look.
Please bear that in mind when ordering from the drop-down menu.
Any other questions, please mail us and we will be most happy to help.
